VIPS 25 th Annual Crane Classic Golf Tournament Set for May 27 th 






Ballymeade Country Club will host the 25 th annual Crane Classic Golf Tournament - a fundraiser for the Falmouth Volunteers In Public Schools (VIPS) on Thursday, May 27 th . The annual tournament is sure to attract a full field of golfers for the shotgun start, with golfers teeing off at 1:00 p.m. In celebration of the 25 th year of the tournament, players can golf for the Falmouth school of their choice. The school chosen by the winning foursome will receive a gift certificate for the purchase of school supplies or books, plus a VIPS Golf Trophy will reside at that school for a full year. 






If you are a golfer, this is an excellent opportunity to play a great course for an even better cause! Proceeds from the VIPS golf tournament will benefit several programs, including the school-based mentoring programs and the Cross-Age Science Teaching Program. 




The entry fee for this year's tournament is $125 per golfer and includes golf with a cart, giveaways, and a catered dinner in Ballymeade's ballroom. Prizes will be awarded for top placing teams in men's, ladies, and scotch teams, closest to the pin, and longest drive. Live and silent auctions and raffles with prizes ranging from gift certificates to local restaurants, tickets to sporting events, and rounds of golf at several local courses will be available. This tournament is a sell-out each year, so if you are interested in golfing, register soon!

Now in its 28 th year, VIPS encourages, trains, and supports volunteers of all ages to work with Falmouth Public School students, faculty, and administration, and helps facilitate partnerships between the schools and community members, businesses, and organizations. VIPS provides the district's teachers and staff members with extra help and expertise, while offering our 1,000-plus volunteers many rewarding opportunities for sharing their time and talents. The VIPS/Falmouth Public Schools partnership serves as a model for school-based volunteer programs throughout Massachusetts and beyond.
