Mandolin Virtuosos Caterina Lichtenberg & Michael Marshall 
will perform duets in an ebullient hybrid of folk, jazz and 
classical music that explores territory from Brazil 
to Europe to Appalachia and Africa. Mike played newgrass with 
the original David Grisman Quintet, founded the Modern Mandolin 
Quartet, co-founded Windham Hill Records, and plays with banjo 
wizard Bela Fleck, Macarthur Genius Edgar Meyer and Brazilian 
miracle Hamilton de Holanda. 

Caterina has performed around the globe and with the Dresden 
Symphony Orchestra. She chairs the mandolin department at the 
music academy in Wuppertal, Germany and is a delight on stage 
with an elegance and beauty of sound matched by her stunning 
virtuosity. 

When: 7:30 PM on Sunday, August 22 
Where: In a Woods Hole living room, venue to be announced 
when reservations are made.
