Located on Cape Cod in East Falmouth, Massachusetts, the Menauhant Yacht Club is the center of a friendly, family-oriented community. We are seeking a mature, responsible, enthusiastic Sailing Program Director to manage our summer 2014 youth sailing program. The candidate will have the necessary experience to oversee various class levels for Turnabouts, Opti’s, 420’s, and direct the program staff of 5, as well as specifically coach the 420 race team. 
Sailing programs run 5-days per week from 8:30am-4pm for ages 6-16 year olds, with approximately 50 children enrolled at any time. 


Staff orientation and program preparation begin June 23, 2014. Classes begin June 30, 2014 and end officially August 15, with limited sailing classes available until August 22, 2014. 

Competitive salary commensurate with experience. 

Housing is not included.

Job Requirements 


Qualifications Needed : The ideal candidate will have competitive racing experience, preferably with Opti and/or 420’s, coaching skills, and be an active sailor. In addition, candidates should have demonstrated experience with teaching or leading children. 
In addition, candidates must have completed the following courses: 


* US Sailing Small Boat Level 1 Instructor Course. 

* Massachusetts Safe Boating Course (or equivalent) and be comfortable handling a small powerboat.
