Hi Folks,

Attached is a list and short description of the microscope systems available for the course. There are course-specific systems in the Phys lab, shared systems in the basement, systems that Embryology would like us to enjoy and systems available at the MBL Central Microscopy Facility.

One FYI is that GE is going to bring the IN Cell 6000 for us. It wasn’t requested specifically this year, but I know we have very creative folks that might develop a few experiments to try.

I plan to give a very brief introduction to the location of the systems and signup procedures on Monday, June 19. The PowerPoint slides will be emailed to everyone this week. On Tuesday, June 20 there will be a Lunch and Learn talk by Steven Wilbert at 12 noon in the fish bowl about the capabilities of the systems for the students and anyone else who’d liked to join. New TAs in sessions 2 and 3 we welcome you to come to us with questions when you arrive.

Cheers.

Joe
