The tenth Ponds in Peril workshop, the latest in a continuing series of informative workshops focusing on the environmental health of Cape Cod ponds, will take place on Wednesday, April 14, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cape Cod and Islands Association of Realtors Conference Center, located at 22 Mid-Tech Drive in West Yarmouth. 




The workshop is sponsored by the Association to Preserve Cape Cod, in cooperation with the Cape Cod Commission and AmeriCorps Cape Cod. 




Topics to be covered this year will include a review of the life histories of Cape Cod’s freshwater reptiles and amphibians, and a discussion of current threats to their well-being and possible solutions. Other presentations include the use of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles to monitor pond water quality, and an update on Mystic Lake in Barnstable.
