WHFMS presents Mist Covered Mountains, Sunday March 13, at 7:30pm 

Mist Covered Mountains is a quartet of musicians featuring Donna Hebert and Molly Hebert-Wilson, a mother-daughter vocal team that has been called "stunning," with "depth, luster and sparkle." Linking original and traditional songs to older stories, they express their roots in Celtic and Franco-American folk music and retrace the journeys of immigration, when people shared tunes and tales from their homelands even as they planted deep roots in the new soil. Their harmonies expand to 3-parts with Max Cohen's smooth baritone and deft, humorous songwriting, and a rich variety of toe-tapping tunes are supported by Max's driving guitar and Alex Bell's rock-solid percussion. Nuanced, heartfelt vocals in English and Irish, dance-saturated Celtic/Québecois fiddling from one of the pioneers of the contra dance music renaissance, sparkling guitar fingerpicking and rollicking bodhran will have you singing and dancing along, as this group journeys effortlessly and unforgettably from L'Acadie to the Mist Covered Mountains.
