CARE for the Cape & Islands, in collaboration with the Cape Cod Anti-Litter Coalition and the Center for Coastal Studies, is excited to invite you to the 6th Annual Taking Care of Cape Cod Summit. This year’s event will explore practical solutions for reducing waste and fostering environmental stewardship.

Event Details:

    •    Theme: Stemming the Tide of Wastefulness: We Can Make it Happen!
    •    Date and Time: Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 12:00pm to 4:30pm
    •    Location: The 204 Cultural Arts Municipal Building, 204 Sisson Rd., Harwich, MA

What to Expect:

    •    Keynote Speaker: Dr. Nikola Garber, Deputy Director of the National Sea Grant Office
    •    Workshops & Presentations: Learn from ReThink Disposable, RecyclingWorks MA, Hyannis Yacht Club, and the Falmouth School District’s student-led composting program.
    •    Panel Discussion: Businesses that CARE, featuring sustainable practices by local entrepreneurs.
    •    Premiere Screening: Watch the debut of the Falmouth Plastic Reduction Advisory Committee’s mini-documentary, produced by Big Tree.
    •    Interactive Art: Participate in Barnstable Land Trust’s “fish flags” installation and view Seaside Botanical Art by Stephanie King.

Stewardship Awards Soiree: Join us afterward from 5:00pm to 7:00pm to celebrate the 2024 CARE Stewardship Award recipients with craft beer, wine, hors d’oeuvres, and a unique silent auction.

Register Today! Summit registration is $35 (includes admission to the Stewardship Awards). Stewardship Awards registration only is $25.
