JAM CLASSES FOR ADULTS AT GREEN BRIAR



            Jam making classes for adults continue in the historic Ida Putnam Kitchen at the Green Briar Nature Center in East Sandwich during November and December as we prepare for the holidays.  Join instructor Addie Vestal and make your own four to six jars of something special to take home and enjoy or give as a gift. All materials are provided.  The following classes are scheduled on Wednesday mornings from 9:30am to noon: November 12, cranberry lemon pear jam; November 19, cranberry lemon pear jam; December 3, berry holiday jam; December 10, berry holiday jam.  Saturday morning classes from 9:30am to noon are: November 15, cranberry lemon pear jam; December 13, berry holiday jam.

            The fee per class is $80 members, $90 non-members.  Paid registration is required in advance.  Call Green Briar at 508-888-6870.



A CHARCUTERIE WORKSHOP IN THE HISTORIC KITCHEN AT GREEN BRIAR

On Saturday, November 8 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, Addie Vestal invites adults to join her in the historic Ida Putnam Kitchen at Green Briar Nature Center in East Sandwich for “A Charcuterie Workshop.”  Join her for a history of charcuterie and global exploration of preserved meats and cheeses from ancient to contemporary times.  Create a grazing board of your own to enjoy while learning techniques to make, not only a delicious snack, but an edible work of art to dazzle family and friends at your next gathering.  The fee is $75 and paid advance registration is required.  Call Green Briar at 508-888-6870.  Space is limited to 10 people.



FAMILY FAIRY GARDEN TEA PARTY AT GREEN BRIAR

Adult and child are invited to cook together in the historic Ida Putnam Kitchen at the Green Briar Nature Center in East Sandwich and enjoy a Fairy Garden Tea Party on Saturday, November 22 from 10am to noon. Read “Through the Fairy Door” by Gabby Dawnay, build a mini fairy garden, and create a cozy tea menu.  Learn to make Pixie Cocoa, Pumpkin & Sage Tartlets, and Maple Leaf cookies to enjoy with a tea of your choice. The class ends with the best part – enjoying the tea party you have created together!  Children must be age 6 to work in the kitchen. The fee is $75 per adult/child pair. Register in advance by calling 508-888-6870.  Space is limited to 8 people (4 pairs of adult & child).
