Climb aboard for a journey through time to learn about the dramatic evolution of steamboats and travel between Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, and Cape Cod. Discover how these vital vessels powered life, commerce, and connection across the islands since the early 1800s. From elegant steamers to modern ferries, York will explore the stories, engineering marvels, and enduring legacy of the ships that have shaped life on the Sound. Doors open at 7:00 PM, lectures start at 7:30 PM in the Cornelia Clapp Auditorium, 7 MBL Street, Woods Hole.
