Hi WHSTEP community,

I wanted to share an exciting opportunity that I hope you can join. I’m co-chairing the Graduate Climate Conference (GCC) this year, and we’re thrilled to be hosting our first-ever Public Poster and Lightning Talk Session right here in Woods Hole.

The Graduate Climate Conference (GCC) is an annual, student-run event that brings together over 100 graduate students from around the world who are conducting innovative research on the Earth’s climate system. Topics span both the physical and social sciences — from atmospheric and oceanic processes to political science, anthropology, and economics.

Organized by graduate students, for graduate students, the GCC offers a welcoming space for early-career researchers to share their work, build community, and explore creative solutions to today’s climate challenges. The conference alternates annually between the University of Washington and MIT.

This year’s Public Poster and Lightning Talk Session invites everyone — students, educators, families, and community members — to learn about cutting-edge climate research in an engaging and accessible way.
