Dear Community Members,
SEA invites you to join us on Monday, March 30th, at SEA Education Association's campus (171 Woods Hole Road, Falmouth) for an engaging presentation or two as part of the audience with our current Plastics and Biodiversity college program students.
We’re excited to host two fascinating talks by researchers from WHOI who graciously agreed to talk with our students and a few members of the public:
* 2:00 PM – Maria Valadez Ingersoll
The Cnidarian Holobiont and Reef Ecosystem Structure
(Will she talk about jellies or corals? Come find out!)
*
3:30 PM – Jacqueline Veatch
Where did you come from where did you go? The influence of ocean transport on ocean plastics and biodiversity
Parking Information:
Please park in one of the SEA parking lots, or head-in (single row) on the lawn to the right as you enter the SEA driveway.
Capacity:
Our space can accommodate up to 20 guests.
We hope you can join us for this exciting opportunity to hear from researchers exploring marine organisms, ecosystems and ocean transport.

Hi, Plastics and Biodiversity!
If it still works for all of you, I think we will have two guest speakers talk about their research and relate it to ocean plastics, biodiversity and/or the PBS cruise track, on
Monday, March 30th:
Jackie Veatch<https://www.whoi.edu/profile/jacquelyn.veatch/>, either at 1130 or 1530
https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=aiHtKXMAAAAJ&hl=en
and
Maria Valadez Ingersoll<https://www.whoi.edu/profile/maria.v.ingersoll/>at 1400
https://mariavaladezingersoll.weebly.com/research.html
I've asked them whether we can invite the public to their talks, and will invite allhands and coordinate a press release w Julia if it's a yes. If that works for you.
Thanks for sharing your time, Jeff!
