The Cape Cod Salties Sportfishing Club will hold an educational Fishing Expo this Saturday March 28 from 10AM-3PM at the Yarmouth Senior Center at 528 Forest Rd, West Yarmouth, MA. The event is FREE and open to ALL who have an interest in fishing and sustainable management of marine resources - from complete beginners to seasoned experts.

The Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries will have display tables as well as Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Sea Grant, Cape Cod Cooperative Extension, Northwest Atlantic Sea Consortium, Cape Cod Trout Unlimited, Ocean Conservancy, Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association, and many private business vendors. Eight different talks by state and local experts will also be offered across the day.

Cape Cod Salties Sportfishing Club, founded in 1959, is open to all people who like to or want to learn how to fish in the waters of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. We meet monthly to socialize and learn new things together and to protect the waters we love.  We promote and encourage interest in saltwater sportfishing, provide opportunities for those interested in saltwater sportfishing to gather for entertainment, good fellowship, and learning opportunities, and we endeavor to further good sportsmanship, foster sound conservation practices and stewardship of fish habitat and fisheries resources, disseminate information about saltwater sportfishing to club members and to the public, and encourage a knowledge of environmental science and related fields by means of scholarship grants and community service.
