JAM MAKING CLASSES IN THE HISTORIC GREEN BRIAR JAM KITCHEN

In 1903 Ida Putnam founded the historic Green Briar Jam Kitchen in East Sandwich and created an iconic Cape Cod Business.  Since the 1980’s jam making classes have been offered to the public on specific dates throughout the year.  Join instructor Addie Vestal and make your own four to six jars of something special to take home and enjoy or give as a gift. All materials are provided. Classes for adults are offered on the following Saturdays at 2:00pm: May 16 to make strawberry raspberry jam, , May 23 to make strawberry rhubarb jam, June 13 to make June fruit jam, June 20 to make cherry strawberry hibiscus, and June 27 to make pineapple mango lime jam.  Family classes for one adult and child (age 6 & up) working together are offered on those Saturdays at 9:30am to make the same jam product as the adult classes.  The fee per class is $85 for members, $95 for non-members and includes one adult/ child pair in the family classes. Paid registration is required in advance.  Call Green Briar at 508-888-6870.
