Dear colleagues in the Xenopus community,

I am very saddened by the news of Sir John‘s passing. He was one of my
scientific heroes and a true gentleman - modest, articulate, always
inspiring and deeply curious. He was a towering and much revered figure
in the Xenopus research community. It was a privilege to have known him
on a personal level.

Sir John, may you RIP.

André
