Hi Folks,

Lumicks would like to host another beer hour tomorrow night at 8:30-9:30PM in the Fishbowl on the 3rd floor.  Their software engineer is in town and would like to discuss analysis and scripting.  Please reply to me if you are interested in attending to give them a heads up for the number of beers to get.

Unrelated, there is more ice cream in the freezer ☺

Here is Ernie’s summary:

We have our expert software engineer here now and would like to gear this talk to more data analysis and scripting. He will discuss how to export and analyze data as well as how to script (python based) to run your own specific experiments. It would also be a great opportunity for us to get some feedback from everyone about what features they would like to see in the software. The key is that the instrument and software can be tailored to the user and their specific experiments.
