Dear Xenopus community,
I am writing to inform you of a change in NXR staff personnel. Many of you know Sean McNamara who has worked at the NXR for over 4 years and overseen husbandry of NXR frogs. Sadly, he has now moved on to “greener” pastures. Nikko Shaidani has been promoted to the Assistant Manager position of the National Xenopus Resource. Nikko received his Master in Science from the University of Maine. He's been working at the NXR for over 3 years, focusing on creating mutant Xenopus lines for the community. He now will oversee the husbandry operations of the NXR's facility holding over 8,500 frogs, as well as continuing working with the Xenopus communities. Nikko can be reached at nshaidani at mbl.edu<mailto:nshaidani at mbl.edu>. Nikko will work closely with Marcin Wlizla (NXR Manager, mwlizla at mbl.edu<mailto:mwlizla at mbl.edu>) to provide the best service to the community. Please welcome Nikko to his new position.
Sean McNamara is continuing to work with the Xenopus community and has moved on to work for Iwaki Aquatic. He brings his hands on skills of husbandry and housing Xenopus as Iwaki's Lead Aquatic Technician. Sean can be reach at smcnamara at iwakiaquatic.com<mailto:smcnamara at iwakiaquatic.com> and 774-217-0416

Sincerely,
Marko horb
